Our Mission
The mission of the center is to serve those most in need, enhancing and promoting the development of the whole child by providing services and resources for the whole family through the collaboration of childhood educators and other social service specialists. The development of each child’s social, moral, cognitive, physical, and emotional person is the primary goal of the Buttons and Bows staff.

Our Philosophy
Buttons and Bows Preschool Development Center, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose philosophy is to optimize, on an individual basis, a developmentally appropriate curriculum. The curriculum includes the whole spectrum of development: social, emotional, physical, and intellectual areas, all of which are interrelated.

Special interest is placed on accepting the child as a unique individual with his/her particular learning style and set of abilities. We strive to meet each child’s needs through stimulating and challenging activities, accompanied by teacher encouragement and support, in order that each child may experience success and growth. The learning environment places emphasis on hands-on experiences and the freedom to select activities. A part of each day is spent directly teaching individuals and small groups. Teachers utilize lesson plans composed around themes and units to develop concepts, skills, language expansion, and critical and creative thinking.
